Dawn has also been retained by CHI, CNA and Lloyds of London to represent hospitals, nursing homes, long term care facilities, realtors and appraisers, and to defend professional negligence claims. Her recent cases include:

  • Representing a national window manufacturer in a class action product liability suit involving 4,500 homeowners who alleged the client's windows were defective and caused significant property damage. In bringing the case to resolution, Dawn worked with the client's insurers, as well as the subcontractors who installed the windows, the homebuilders and homeowners' counsel to equitably resolve the claim.
  • Representing a propane tank manufacturer in a product liability lawsuit, where the plaintiff retro-fitted an RV with the propane tank as replacement for the gas tank, resulting in a fire that destroyed the vehicle while it was in motion. This case involved personal injury issues, as well as the establishment of fire origin and cause, requiring extensive recreation of the accident, which ultimately led to the conclusion that the cause of the destructive fire was due to the actions of the plaintiff.
  • Representing a trailer hitch installer where the plaintiff alleged that the cause of the rollover accident was due to the improper installation of a trailer hitch. The jury returned a defense verdict finding that the cause of the rollover accident was due to the actions of the driver, finding no fault with the trailer hitch installation.

Dawn is also a trained mediator and arbitrator and counsels her clients on alternative dispute resolution, as appropriate in each individual case.
