KCF Supports Arrupe Jesuit High School

8/30/2008

KCF is a sponsor of the Arrupe Jesuit High School Corporate Work Study Program for the 2008-2009 school year.  The students who are working for us this year are (from left to right):  Nestor Meza, (Senior), Perla Villa (Junior), Melissa Arroyos (Sophomore) and  Bemar Martinez (Freshman).

The Denver school was founded in 2003.  Arrupe is modeled after the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago.  Arrupe serves students who may not have other opportunities for a private, college preparatory education, due to financial need.  The program helps each student gain valuable work experience and on-the-job training.  A majority of their tuition is paid through the program.  The students attend a full schedule of classes four days a week while working for the employer on the fifth day.

Not only will the students be satisfying a business need for the firm, it is a great opportunity for each student to gain first-hand experience of working in the corporate world.  We are delighted to provide the Arrupe students with a solid work experience that will help them advance both their education and their future careers.  This is the second year that KCF has supported this program and we look forward to many years to come.
